Garklein, Lots of fun in a small package! - Bob H. - Monday, January 26, 2015
My wife and I started playing recorders this winter. We have a tenor and two sopranos of another brand along with an alto and a sopranino. So we are getting comfortable with both C and F keys.
My hands are a bit large of the little Garklein but my wife is having a ball with this little guy. It doesn't seem to clog quickly. It plays very clearly. We hope to walk around and play at a few festivals this summer in an impromptu manner. She will have a lot of enjoyment playing old tunes like Ode to Joy and What shall We do with a Drunken Sailor on the Garklein. Yep, we need to memorize many more tunes. Me, I 'll stay with the sopranos and the alto.
This is our first Woodnote purchase, we are very pleased. I will have to try one of the Woodnote Alto recorders in the future.
